About Us

The Minnesota Business Women (MBW) looks forward to the future with great excitement. On May 2, 2009 members attending the state convention at the Radisson Hotel in St. Cloud voted to disassociate with the national organizations, Business and Professional Women/USA and Business and Professional Women's Foundation.

We were organized in 1919 in the state of Minnesota. MBW is a 501(c)6, tax exempt, non-profit, professional association guided by dedicated volunteers. MBW currently has 15 local organizations serving 350 members. These members benefit from networking, support and professional and personal development opportunities.

The future for MBW will be determined by the members.  Share the excitement by joining today!

Our president has developed her vision for our organization which is:  “to help members become the best they can be, by helping local organizations recruit vibrant members, by offering development programs that empower and engage, by being responsive to members needs, and by being active in the conversations about power and economic success in the state, in our nation and around the world.”  Patty Tanji, President MBW, 2009-2010.

Minnesota Business Women, Inc. is a 501(c) (6) federal tax exempt organization registered and incorporated in 1932 under the name of the “Minnesota Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated".
